Graduating as a dentist in 2011 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece), Georgios has gained more than a decades worth of clinical practice, research and teaching experience; whilst establishing himself in the dental profession. His postgraduate education continued, with ongoing studies in five European (Greece, Finland, Sweden, Spain, Austria) and one British University (King’s College London).

Georgios is passionate about teaching and sharing his knowledge of peridontology with others. He teaches undergraduate dental students weekly at King’s College London, providing tutorials on the diagnosis and management of peridontal disease. He also support trainee periodontists with their surgical training. To develop his teaching skills further, Georgios undertook and completed a postgraduate certificate in clinical education from King’s College in 2024.

With a strong interest in research, Georgios has an analytical and results driven approach. His research has been published in various high impact international peer-reviewed journals in Periodontology and Dental Implantology, receiving more than 900 citations. The main research focus is the connection between systemic and periodontal health and the use of novel materials (such as ceramics) for dental implant treatment.
